Access Strategies

Vincent specializes in improving patient Access by implementing diagnosis based scheduling. Patients are scheduled based on severity ensuring the right patient is seen at the right time. Vincent will conduct a NAHAM (National Association for Healthcare Access Management) assessment to optimize templates. Vincent has a partnership with VitalCx and can build your practice an AI backed scheduling system that integrates with your EMR.

Physician Productivity & cFTE Assessment

Vincent has managed productivity at nationally ranked Academic Health Systems including Johns Hopkins, UVA, MedStar, Howard and Rutgers, by creating a balance in Operating Room, Clinic, Inpatient, Procedure, Teaching and Research time, by developing cFTEs that account for non-billing functions. This is achieved by selecting a realistic MGMA benchmark and building a clinical team to support the provider. Vincent is a MGMA national speaker on cFTE and will develop the right model for your organization.

Business Development

Vincent has a 17 year track record of Business Development in healthcare. He opened MedStar Lafayette Centre, a $42 million Ambulatory Surgery Center and Multispecialty Practice in downtown DC. He has drafted physician service agreements in excess of $13 million, secured Tax Incentive Financing for physician practice development and has developed healthcare services in the US Virgin Islands. Vincent has also developed sports & performance centers, gender affirmation clinics, pelvic floor clinics, MOHs surgery programs and redesigned ENT and Urology clinics in partnership with Karl Storz and Olympus. Whatever the business need Vincent will develop a plan for investment and success.

With the changes in the current healthcare climate CHSG's mission is to partner with health entities to solve complex problems regarding patient access, revenue cycle, practice optimization, clinical trials management, payer mix & managed care negotiations, AI integration and real estate asset management.

    Vice President and Chief Executive Officer

    Howard University Faculty Practice Plan

    Through the Adventist Healthcare Management Service Agreement, Vincent served as Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the 180+ HBCU owned physician group. Under his leadership volume increased by 23%, revenues increased by $6 million annually, the practice opened an AI backed Access Center and secured Tax Incentive Financing to expand the practices from Washington, DC to Prince George's County Maryland.

    Through the Integrated Practice Agreement between Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health and Rutgers Medical School, Vincent served as Regional Director for the Rutgers Medical Group. Under his leadership the 350+ Physician Group finished 30,000 wRVUs above budget, increased patient revenue by $11.59 million and net income by $2.45 million. Vincent also led EPIC implementation which helped reduced denied claims from $1.6 million per week to $85k per week.

    Vincent led the surgical COVID recovery strategy for UVA Health System. Despite COVID disruption Vincent's unit finished 1,650 cases above budget. Outpatient facility net revenue was $6.1 million and OR contribution margin increased by $9.78 million. The 225+ physician group generated $108 million in facility charges during COVID FY20.

    Vincent oversaw development of the Primary Care and Multispecialty Practices at Sibley Memorial Hospital. Vincent expanded services for Orthopedics, General Surgery, GI, Urology and Dermatology. Vincent led the practice to be first in CG-CHAPS for Provider and Office staff ratings in the John Hopkins System. Under his leadership visits increased 1,620 in the first year.

    Vincent led operations for MedStar Health's flagship $42 million multispecialty ambulatory center in downtown Washington, DC. He directed 40+ physician FTEs across primary care, surgical and medical specialties; ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care delivery. Vincent partnered with various MedStar entities to ensure alignment with wRVU productivity, access, and collections goals. In the inaugural year the facility generated $16M in charges, $1.2M in profit, and 67,000 annual patient visits. Patient satisfaction increased from 77% to 90% in 90 days and the facility achieved highest system-wide employee engagement score.

Vincent Orange Jr. Bio

Vincent Bernard Orange Jr., MBA, MHSA is a nationally recognized healthcare executive with more than 17 years of progressive leadership experience across integrated delivery systems, academic medical centers, and multi-state physician enterprises. He has built a distinguished career driving access, growth, financial performance, and physician alignment in complex, matrixed healthcare organizations.

Mr. Orange's leadership experience includes holding a dual appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Howard University Faculty Practice Plan and Vice President of Practice Operations for Adventist HealthCare, where he provided strategic oversight for more than 180 clinical faculty and led ambulatory, inpatient, and academic practice operations across multiple specialties.

Under his leadership, the Faculty Practice Plan has achieved significant operational and financial growth, including double-digit increases in clinic volume, expansion of patient access through a state-of-the-art AI-enabled Access Center, and growth in annual collections to approximately $28 million. He has led major physician services agreements, expanded public-private partnerships, secured government support for new clinic development, and advanced workforce pipelines through youth apprenticeship programs and academic clinical staffing models.

Previously, Mr. Orange served as Regional Director of Faculty Practices for Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health, overseeing operations for Rutgers Medical Group across 25 sites and 17 clinical departments. In partnership with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he was responsible for the productivity and performance of more than 350 faculty physicians and over 1,000 staff, exceeding financial targets, increasing new patient volume, and leading enterprise-wide access, EMR, and care-delivery transformations.

Earlier in his career, he held senior operational leadership roles at the University of Virginia Health System, Johns Hopkins Health System (Sibley Memorial Hospital), George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, and MedStar Health, where he consistently delivered improvements in revenue, access, patient experience, and care delivery across high-acuity surgical and multispecialty ambulatory environments. Vincent opened MedStar's $42 million flagship Ambulatory Surgery Center, Lafayette Centre in downtown Washington, DC.

In addition to his executive leadership, Mr. Orange holds an academic appointment as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, reflecting his commitment to medical education and faculty development.

Mr. Orange earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, a Master of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morehouse College.

He is a frequent speaker on physician practice management, workforce strategy, and ambulatory operations and is widely regarded for his ability to align mission-driven care with sustainable operational performance.
